Welcome to Mozambique Insights.
This is certainly Mozambique’s newest online publication which seeks to provide readers with insights into Mozambican politics, business and economy, among others.
Mozambique Insights seeks to bring a Mozambican perspective to the myriad of voices reporting on the country. It is published by hard-nosed Mozambican journalists whose work experience span over four decades.
Why?
Mozambique is going through a interesting period in its short history as a nation, not least the battle for succession with the ruling Frelimo party, the protracted insurgency in northern Cabo Delgado, Total Energies ‘force majeure’ which has resulted in a halt in its Liquid Natural Gas operations, the inconclusive peace agreement signed with the main opposition party, Renamo, among others.
It was an American journalism who said that journalism is the first rough draft of history. But the team of Mozambique Insights journalists wish to also add reportage that can be used not only by future historians, but by current readers, researchers, governments, etc. interested into Mozambican affairs.
The Mozambique Insights team is proud to present its readers with this new product published by Mozambicans for Mozambique and the world. The team takes this opportunity to inform every reader that starting from next week, most of the articles will be behind a paywall.
